The power of the Elements enclosed within a single form

In the external condensation exercises, we revisit the phases encountered in the Fourth Step of soul training, focusing on the condensation within individual organs and parts of the body. The significant difference here is that we do not have a defined outline to contain the concentrated Element, like that of the organs. This necessitates a potent combination of will and imagination to keep the Element within the boundaries set outside the body.
First, we use a sphere, the most straightforward geometric shape to visualise. The exercise is performed in the following manner:
- Assume your favourite position and begin accumulating the Fire Element in your body by breathing through your pores until you feel a sensation of heat. Next, condense this element at the level of your solar plexus into a fiery and brilliant sphere, about 15 centimetres in diameter, resembling the sun.
- Imagine a sphere emerging from your solar plexus and floating a short distance before you; you should feel its warmth on your face.
- Maintain your fixation on the sphere for as long as possible, or at least five minutes. Then, dissolve the sphere of the Element into the surrounding space, or alternatively explode the sphere abruptly; practice both methods.
- In the following sessions, focus on practising the remaining elements.
When visualising the Air Element, imagine a sphere that is the colour of the sky. The sensation associated with it is a gentle breeze, bringing a feeling of lightness. In contrast, the sphere representing the Water Element is perceived as cold. The Earth Element sphere resembles a clay ball, evoking a sensation of heaviness.
