The infinitely finite

Italian version

In the previous exercise of the mental series (V.M2), we “diverted” our focus from the notion that the depth point of an object corresponds to the geometric centre of the object itself. Instead, it embodies its essential meaning, analogous to the “Akashic Principle”, as Bardon defines it.

In this third mental exercise, we further explore the concept of “centre” by establishing a connection to the periphery of an object from an internal perspective. It involves observing the contours of the object from the depth point in which we place our consciousness.

The execution of the exercise does not differ substantially from the previous one. In this case, however, we imagine that we can observe the walls and the periphery of the object, which, from the perspective of the depth point in which we place our consciousness, move further and further away as our consciousness becomes smaller.

The application of this concept holds significant experiential ramifications, particularly when applied to living organisms, including humans. The object and its intrinsic significance merge when the depth point transmutes into a mathematical singularity with zero spatial extension. The object assumes an infinite quality, effectively resembling a universe, portraying the spacetime embodiment of its generating essence. The seeming paradox of a finite entity assuming infinity is merely apparent. The essence, or fundamental significance, resides within the causal domain and eludes spatial and temporal limitations. Therefore, each point encompassed within a form encapsulates this “infinity,” representing the entirety of the form within itself. Consequently, each point assumes the central role of the shape, embodying infinity within an ostensibly finite entity. “Infinity” serves here as a convenient term explaining what seems to us the a-spatial and a-temporal reality of the object.

Openness towards this state of consciousness allows one to comprehend the intrinsic nature and significance of phenomena. It is a very long journey, initially rooted in sensations that are arduous to articulate, evolving into intuitions as the ego gives way to a more extended perception of reality. At present, the focus is on sustaining awareness of the depth point for a minimum of five minutes, engaging with various objects, both symmetrical and asymmetrical.
