Preparations for transferring consciousness to the depth point

Italian version

After engaging in deep meditation on the primordial or depth point at the origin of space and time, we are ready for the initial exercise that involves transferring consciousness into the geometric centre of a symmetrical object.

The function of exercise is preliminary in nature, as the actual purpose of the practice is to surpass the spatial and temporal limitations and comprehend the object’s essence and significance, which can be referred to as the “essential meaning” of the object itself. However, initially, we train ourselves to perceive the spatial core of an object, to gain familiarity with the concept of “centre” without claiming to have reached the actual “depth point”. This practice bears some resemblance to Step IV consciousness transfer. However, it is crucial to note that we must not identify ourselves with the object’s shape and external environment from its viewpoint but rather with its internal balance point, i.e., its centre.

Exploring our mental and emotional states is a complex and multifaceted process. As individuals, we are often guided by external perceptions and the sensations they evoke rather than profoundly understanding the centre of our being. While we may be familiar with the surface-level aspects of our identity, our true inner selves remain largely unknown. However, with the transfer of consciousness, we have unlocked the potential to expand our conscious experience and connect with other beings on a deeper level. As we delve into our depth point, we begin to understand the stark contrast between being situated at the centre or on the periphery of things. Indeed, the fourth stage of conscious transfer can be viewed as applying depth point practice, leading to a greater understanding of the self and others.

Performing the exercise may seem straightforward, but obtaining the desired outcomes can be challenging and require a certain degree of perseverance:

  • Take some time to achieve a state of mind emptiness. The process of attaining optimal results necessitates the relaxation of both the mind and body.
  • Place symmetrical objects of a consistent size, preferably with a solid structure, directly in front of you. Examples of such objects can include a cube, a sphere, and other similar shapes.
  • Begin the process by transferring your consciousness to the centre of one of the objects present. Visualise your consciousness shrinking in size until it reaches minute dimensions akin to an atom’s. It is imperative that you wholly disregard your physical body.
  • It is advisable to commence the practice with a singular object until one can sustain consciousness within the object itself for a minimum of five minutes. After that, one may experiment with various symmetrical objects, always transferring consciousness back to the centre.
